Global Settings
The Global Settings page is where you configure the core communication integrations for EntryChat. This includes General Templates, IMAP Email Sync, SMTP Overrides, and Twilio SMS.
Step 1 – Access Global Settings
- Go to EntryChat → Global Settings.
- The page is divided into tabs: Settings, Mail, SMS, and AI Auto Reply.

Step 2 – General Settings Tab
Under the Settings tab, you configure your global default templates.
- Header: Select a default Header template from the dropdown. (You must create templates in Headers & Footers first).
- Footer: Select a default Footer template.
- Click Save Global Settings. These templates will be automatically wrapped around outgoing messages.

Step 3 – Mail Tab (IMAP Sync & SMTP)
The Mail tab allows EntryChat to sync with your inbox to track replies and configure outbound SMTP.
IMAP Sync Settings
- Email Service Provider: Choose your provider (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo Mail, iCloud, or cPanel/aaPanel).
- Depending on your selection, specific fields will appear:
- Standard (Gmail/Yahoo/iCloud): Enter your Username and App-Specific Password.
- Outlook: Enter your Tenant ID, Client ID, and Client Secret.
- Custom (cPanel/aaPanel): Enter your custom IMAP Host.

SMTP Override Settings
- By default, Use default SMTP is checked, which uses your WordPress site’s default
wp_mailconfiguration. - If you uncheck it, you can provide dedicated SMTP credentials specifically for EntryChat:
- SMTP Username / Password
- From Email / From Name
- SMTP Host / Port / Encryption (If using Custom Email Provider).

Step 4 – SMS Tab (Twilio Integration)
To enable SMS messaging, configure your Twilio account details under the SMS tab.
- Account SID: Enter your Twilio Account SID.
- Auth Token: Enter your Twilio Auth Token.
- Twilio Phone Number: Enter the active Twilio phone number used for sending/receiving SMS.
- Click Save Global Settings.
Important: Twilio Incoming Webhook
To receive replies via SMS from your customers, you must log in to your Twilio console and set the Incoming Webhook URL for your phone number to:
https://yourwebsite.com/wp-json/ectfeirc/v1/twilio-sms
(Replace yourwebsite.com with your actual domain).
